This ain’t half bad. Maybe I just like to lavish out reasonable marks, but it’s a crowd-pleaser. Lemon rind, roasted almonds and roasted nuts on the nose lead to a weighty, sweet mid palate. Lacking acidity along with a relatively short, exotic finish, I’m willing to overlook its fault lines, cos overall it’s good. — 4 years ago

It's Blanton's, proofed up to 103. Being a single barrel, Blanton's is consistently good but not consistently great. This bottle is well above average. It smells and tastes like something from the Van Winkle bourbon lineup. Dark cherry, apricot, leather, cigar box. Much more pleasing than last years bottle. I thought the Gold used to be in a skinnier 700ml bottle, but this is 750ml. Maybe I'm losing it 🤔

This one is an O,Brown sugar bourbon. Completely delicious, as long as you like alcoholic brown sugar syrup. I imagine this would be best over a brownie with ice cream. — 7 years ago

Not a bad Champagne 🍾. It has a golden yellow colour with aroma like citrus, but it tastes a bit spicy. — 3 years ago
