Translucent garnet with a bit of oranging.
Floral nose with red currant and raspberry fruit.
Light bodied, upright acidity and astringency giving way to velvet tannins. Probably has another 10 years before peaking. — 2 years ago

Pale ruby, old leather, funky ripe strawberry, dried roses, damp concrete block; dried raspberries, dried cherry then rehydrated. 3H decant, but more time appreciated as it's really unfolding in the glass tonight. — 2 years ago
This showed extremely well. Enjoyed at Frasca in Boulder on Father’s Day. Paired perfectly with the duck. #Frascafoodandwine — 8 months ago
Excellent wine Gattinara Bervi 2009 — 10 months ago
Nervi Gattinara Riserva 1982. Wow, what a wine! Still had some grip after more than 40 years. Lots of leather and cigar box, but also some red fruit. Cork was in remarkably good shape and the neck fill was pretty high, so we speculated that it might have been filled up and recorked before release. Great wine, showing what was there before the Conternos ever got involved. — 2 years ago
Något utvecklas med nyanserad fatbetonad karaktär. Mörka bär, torkade blommor, läder, tjära med en fin mineralisk kärna och nedslipade finkorniga tanniner i avslutet. — 4 years ago

What a beauty!
Tart cherry, a touch of cinnamon, wilted flowers, a saline, rocky note and touch of orange peel. A hint of leather. Aetheric & enticing. And evolving.
On the palate this is more austere than in the nose. Zippy cherry acidity, present yet super finely grained tannins, the fruit only in the background. So food friendly. And intriguing. And delicious.
I think this is in the perfect drinking spot right now. Delish! — a month ago
