Solaia Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2019

Second bottle from this vintage. Much better experience this time. Last wasn’t bad and perhaps was just an off night/bottle. This Solaia was packing significant range and depth. The fruit was beautifully structured and was so well rounded. Seemed more mature than just 5 years. Excellent. — 4 days ago

Tignanello Toscana Super Tuscan Blend 2016

I think I preferred the 2015 but ever so slightly and as much as I struggle to believe glasses make a difference they poured the 2016 in a big cab glass and I think that distracted from the flavors that were evident in the tighter 2015 glass. — 19 days ago

Gaja

Ca' Marcanda Vistamare Toscana Vermentino Viognier 2022

Tucked atop a steep hill in the Langhe is the small village of Barbaresco, home of the GAJA winery. Medium lemon color with aromas of delicate tropical, stone & citrus fruits with herb floral notes, blend of Vermentino and Viognier. On the palate rich pear and peach flavors, nutty herb and spicy notes. Long finish ending with fruit, herbs and generous mineral character. Nice! — a month ago
