What a wine! It’s been a long and slow delight we sipped slowly over our quiet evening.
It paired especially well with the cuisine from Dawa, the beef momos and even the pork chili (that was slightly less hot as usual 😮💨). The mild tones of the Himalayan spice were perfect companion to this wine, holding everything high in the mouth and soul.
The wine is rich, complex, round, ripe, with a lactic touch. Buttermilk? And then the usual flavors and aromas of
chenin, honey, pear, peach, bit of exotic lush all conducted with maestria with a backbone that holds things all along never making it heavy or annoying — 8 days ago
Truly special bottle. Blossoms, needs several hours open to reveal violets, a hint of rose petal, fantastic subtle hint of pepper. The texture is stunning, wraps around your palate like a silk nightrobe. Ripe fruit but so fresh. The finest tannins and subtle structure provide perfect tension. As it lingers the minerals are searing and beautiful, the acid ample and well judged. Could come close to perfection in 15-20 years time. — 7 days ago
Super joyful if a little more extracted than necessary. Fun, almost carbonic purple fruit on the nose. Palate had great concentration for an entry level wine. Not insignificant tannins and this should benefit from a few years, but also drinking great now. — 3 days ago
