Drank this with a filet mignon and brussels+panchetta at 1875 Steakhouse in French Lick, Indiana. Surprised I went with this over the Malbec option. Very chewy tannins that demand accompaniment. The dark cherry, slightly spicy, very slightly earthy body really opens up with food. Happy with my choice! — 7 years ago

A soaring Staglin that fully sorted with 30 mins of air. Beautiful nose full of red flowers and dark cherry, some cedar. Houston’s very own Del Frisco’s Grille is sadly shutting down. So, as it was with their fine steakhouse concept ‘Sullivan’s’ when it closed down, they’re doing a 50% off promotion for ALL alcohol. Needless to say...we have a few dinners lined up with our Supper Club and other friends before they shutter their doors for good on 9/16.

This is about as good as New World entry-level Chardonnay gets. — 8 years ago
