Out of half; a real pleasure to have in a nice Summer’s day in Reims! — 4 years ago
Yes, these guys do Beaujolais in a Bordeaux bottle.
Great nose features ripe cherry and berries, along with a rich, humus-like earthy note and scents of old barrels. Fruity but fairly structured in the mouth. Significant tannin frames the sultry, oozy fruit. Initially, it’s a little austere in the finish (a la the region whose bottle shape is used), but more fruit comes through as it gets air. Unique and very good. — 5 years ago
Beaujolais pleasure with the intensity usually found on Saint-Amour. Notes of sour cherry red fruits, rose, peony, and a certain concentration that will appeal to those who like more structured wines. It is nonetheless a generous wine with immediate pleasure. Very / too easy to drink
Très/trop facile à boire — 5 years ago

Delish. 2010 vintage on 1/27/2020. — 6 years ago
Clear, medium ruby in color with a hint of garnet on the rim; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary aromas of raspberries, potting soil, and flowers; on the palette, it's dry with high acidity, low tannins, medium alcohol, medium body, and medium intensity primary flavors of red currants, sour cherries, and strawberries with a long finish. This wine has enough fruit to balance the acidity. It's complex and balanced. Overall, I rate this wine as very good.Nellie likes it too. — 2 months ago
Of the 2020 releases from Marc Delienne (which has been quite the trip to work through), this was the cheapest, cleanest, and my favourite. Needs a little air to unfurl aromas of pomegranate, raspberry, and tomato leaves. Bright and juicy, with a rich texture to boot. Nice underlying minerality and spice. Finished in one seating, so a one in the binary scale. — 5 years ago
American geography ignoramus that I am, little did I know that the Northernmost tip of the Rhone- Cote Rotie- is the kissing cousin of Beaujolais. St. Amour is more midpoint, but has that great granite terroir which makes this long standing Cru Bojo (& under 20$) a perennial fave. It’s that mineral tautness I love. — 5 years ago

Melons and citrus. — 4 years ago
Shimmering ruby. Expressive black raspberry, cherry cola and violet scents pick up mineral and spice nuances with air. Nicely concentrated yet lively on the palate, offering juicy bitter cherry, dark berry and exotic spice flavors that turn sweeter on the back half. Discreet tannins shape the floral-tinged finish, which hangs on with very good persistence. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, August 2021)
