Ruby in color with a wide brick rim.
Beautiful nose of black currants, blackberries, blueberries, dried figs, raisins, light oak, licorice, light tobacco, light earth, chocolates, eucalyptus, light vegetables, herbs, wildflowers, cola and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and very fruity on the palate with blackberries, black plums, figs, dried fruits, coffee, light cedar, tobacco, chocolates, cola, vanilla, licorice, spices, light earth and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy cherries.
This gorgeous 18 year old Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa Valley is drinking beautifully now.
This is a great surprise, as the cork totally crumbled, and I expected the worst, but it really delivered.
Shows nice balance, and great complexity with a velvety mouthfeel.
Easy drinking and good right out of the bottle. As it opens up, tannins come in (45 minutes), and make it more structured and interesting.
A great sipping wine to have all by itself and talk about. The nose is just gorgeous.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
95 points.

In spite of its Deceptively Fru Fru label, this is a very credible Provence Rose, with all the attributes of a Rose from that region. Crisp, dry with a hint of sweetness; the color of salmon and a taste of citrus. Drank in October 2023. Easy to drink and pairs well with a variety of food. — 6 months ago
Declassified Torraine pet nat sparkling with some serious, joyous game: Orange melon, white blossoms & carmelized notes on back end. Super airy & detailed on nose, persistent mousse. Wow. From old vines( more than 50yro): 80% Menu Pineau, 15% Chenin Blanc, 5% Sauvignon blanc. — 10 months ago
Rich mouthfeel and I would say atypical for a sauvignon blanc. As such, it definitely fits in my wheelhouse. — a month ago
Surprisingly good for a second wine in an tricky vintage. Gorgeous nose has cedar, roasted peanuts, cassis, purple florals, warm gravel. Nose whack of flavor up front, then lightens up as the palate progresses. A bit of gritty tannin in the finish. Would I prefer a bit more concentration and length? Sure. But this is quite nice. — 6 months ago
2016 vintage. A blend of Merlot (76%), Cabernet Franc (4%) and Cabernet Sauvignon (20%). Owned by the Ballande family (also Prieuré-Lichine and Villa Bel Air). Amazing value! — a year ago
A solid Beaujolais-Village, bearing the stigma of the beautiful Beaujolais wines. Tiled ruby color, of a certain concentration. Superb open nose, between candied red fruits (cherry, strawberry), dried floral bouquet (Pink, peony, iris), white pepper, and notes of aerial evolution tending towards truffle, medley, nail polish. Close to a Burgundy in more airy and more floral. Fine and final body on vivacity. Beautiful nobility, superb for its price. Drink a little refreshed.
— 2 years ago

2019 vintage. Not as immediately opulent as the 2015-2018 vintages and possesses more punch than the 2020 vintage. Medium-heavy body. Think darker fruits and baking chocolate vs ripe fruits, smoke and newish oak that jumped out 2015-2018. Drinking beautifully now but 3-4 in the bottle will thin out the body and make it a better food matchup. More than a little reminiscent of Lafon-Rochet from St. Estèphe. BTG now tho as a pop and pour, it doesn't suck. 3.26.24. — 2 days ago
