Just an awesome Chardonnay. — 9 years ago
A heavy chateauneuf - alot of syrah. Sweet, dark berry nose with an odd plum note that dissipates. Charred meat notes. Unctuous on palate (again, syrah). Well made. — 9 years ago
2022/5/28 with tai sashimi 2 ways, tomato in dashi, chicken and new onion in pea and white miso soup, etc. There may be some bias since I’ve been looking for bottles like this since being reminded of how good classicist white Burgundy is with Kyoto food, but this really did it, and even more so considering the price. Savory, salty minerals, butter and citrus, the requisite oak, some honey from maturity - it all just works. — 4 years ago
This lightly tinted greenish wine brings a nose that is heavy on the minerals, with citrus and a slight floral aspect. The aroma is dominated by a beautiful savory sense. On the palate, very mineral-laden, great flinty salinity and a savory finish. The nice acidity makes it a great Wine to pair with seafood. I had mine with a lovely quiche Lorraine at Monsiour Marcel’s in L.A.’s Farmers Market. My wife loved it and immediately wanted to make a cocktail with it, using Creme de Cassis. We may just do that. — 5 years ago
Rich floral nose, dark ruby red, juicy cherries, plum — 7 years ago
16.5/20 (90/100) В аромате яблоки, орехи, поджаренный хлеб. Высокая кислотность. Цитрусовые, айва и французский багет во вкусе. (19.03.2017) #prowein2017 — 9 years ago
Always such a pleasure. Perfect for a rainy Sunday afternoon. White cherries, mineral and some brioche on the lovely nose. So elegant and mineral with a nice delicate mousse. Good sap and concentration. Very juicy. — 9 years ago
Not as good as the 2018 which is weird as 19 is usually better than 18 in Cote Rotie. Let’s see what air does. Noseis funky, floral, spicey and a bit horsey. Hopefully it blows off. Very nice framing minerality but the horse is here and will gallop off into the distance soon. Paste is ripe and juicy with terrific power, depth and concentration. Big, ripe and sweet tannins. Super pure and super young. Engaging freshness and energy but the tannins are a bit aggressive and less focused than I’d like. 9.3 for now. Let’s see. It is opening up to be very elegant but also there is a sur maturite factor that’s not that great and the fruits is losing focus. HMMMMMMM??? — 4 years ago
Tiny 4000 bottle production growers champagne. A lively fruity taste, dry but not too dry. Slightly hectic bead but very, very good.
I love discovering these gems 😃 — 6 years ago
It seems like the price of this creeps up every year which is vexing. The speciale is rich and intensely vinous and umami, with cutting acidity (non-malo) tart green apple and mandarin orange, spearmint, spice and toast. Still think I prefer the basic cuvée pound for pound — 7 years ago
Confit lemon and orange deliver a compelling and intense citrus profile. Great value. — 8 years ago
A spectacular Chilean Carmenère presenting a nice nose, deep purple color, with blackberry, cherry and plum tastes. This is an outstanding full bodied and lush wine with soft intergated tannins was the star of a 90+ night. Perfect with grilled lamb this wine is sure to please Cheers 🍷 — 9 years ago
