Appassionata Andante Pinot Noir 2017

Loads of wild strawberry, red currant, red cherry, dusty dried cherry, and a meaty smoke not on the long finish. At 13.5%abv the wine has a great balance of flavor, acidity and subtle, fine-grained tannin. A very refined wine. — a year ago

A very enjoyable off the shelf back vintage here. Nothing terribly complex, but balance point has held up wonderfully after a decade in the bottle. — 3 months ago

Meleagris Gallopavo Vineyard Old Vines Cabernet Sauvignon 2014

+1 hour decant(some fine/cloudy sediment). An amazing inky purplish magenta color. On the nose: very aromatic nose with perfumed dark red/blue fruit, forest floor, herbaceous, currants, smoked wood. Taste: so easy to like!!! creamy, velvety, concentrated, elegant mouthcoating wine with dark cherry, milk chocolate, cassis, minerals, baking spice, and a espresso-graphite long finish. YUM! Entering its drinking window with time to go. — 10 months ago

I still haven’t tried this, but I have a 2016 that I think you helped me acquire. Looking forward to trying.

@Shay A Keep it in the back of the cellar for 2 to 5 years. These really need time to show off. Cheers!

Judge Family Vineyard Syrah 2017

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of two days. Consistent both days though more of the typical Syrah characteristics seemed to be more pronounced on Day 2. The 2017 “Judge Family Vineyard” pours a deep, ruby purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with heady notes of black and blue fruits: blackberries, mulberries, Marion berries, blueberries, and plums along with black pepper, olive brine, incense, new leather and fine baking spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and immensely satisfying. This continues to be an utterly delicious example of Syrah from the New World with unmistakeable nods to the Old World. At this point, it still continues to benefit greatly from a few hours of air. Drink now with lots of patience and through 2037. — 3 months ago
