A Rossi that Drinks like a brunello — 6 years ago
Small production, 151 cases, aged 11 months in French oak, 35% new. Met winemaker David Rossi who makes small batches by buying fruit from top vineyards and using a shared winery for crafting his small batch wines. Deep Ruby with a full range of berry aromas with wafts of earthy notes. On the palate blackberry & ripe cherry with oak and subtle spice. Fine tannins, lingering ending with fruit and some dusty spice. Nice now but let’s see if it aged well. I’ll grab a bottle and put it aside. Check back! — 7 years ago
Delicious field blend of Grenache 80% Mourvèdre 15% Syrah 5%. Displays ripe red fruits earthy pasture notes and irony meat/leather. (Subtle) happy with the amount of bottle age. Balanced with a long finish. — 4 years ago
Drinking something unique and old like this is often a joy. But, I’d put this in the interesting but not delicious category. Brown like a Solera sherry, I can really only imagine this wine working in a haute cuisine pairing. Or in Sardinia on a cliff overlooking the sea, eating fried fish or some pecorino with tartufo and nuts as an antipasto. — 6 years ago
It is one of the best wines I've ever tasted. I like to drink it solo or with fruits and cheese. A light wine that tastes delicious😋 — 4 years ago
Same as before lean and interesting texture of old Zin that paired well with the mild curry chicken dish by Evan. A food wine for sure and very American — 5 years ago
Beautiful, beautiful wine. Well integrated blend of deep red fruit and violet flowers, with a long finish and a silky texture. The aromatic white grapes really add a freshness and a lightness that makes this shine. — 6 years ago

Pour of the evening in front of the last rugby game of the 2026 6 Nations tournament (what a game!). Almond, blackberry, licorice, smoke. This is not your typical grenache nose. The palate is showing some moderately powerful acid drive, it's full bodied, with an impressive width, some thick, concentrated matter, some nice fruity notes all along, a bit of an oaky, smoky touch, some tannins in the rear, giving a bit of a drying layer over a quite long blackberry, smoky, oaky finish with a bit of a bitter note in the end. It's quite structured, muscular and concentrated for a grenache but it's delivering a great tasting experience. Great pour! — 2 months ago
