Pale cloudy gold,
Medium nose, apple, pear
Dry, high acid, medium bodied, slightly dense waxy texture, pommaceous, golden fruit, salt, very long finish with a slightly bitter bite — 3 years ago
This was a bargain-priced (for Volnay) “mystery” purchase from Garagiste a couple of years ago and it’s really nice. Nose is lively and elegant, with sappy cherry and crushed Burgundian stony earth, with a bit of graham-cracker spice. The palate is softly-textured (yay, Volnay!) and the balance between dark, sweet cherry and crushed rock is 50/50. Very elegant. — 6 months ago
Wow, reminds me of chateau beru chablis matchstick, pear, a little hazy/yeasty, amazing length and minerality wish I had bought more — a year ago
A shimmery gold with few bubbles and amazing floral notes on the nose. It’s just so pretty and inviting immediately. Raspberry and wildflowers for days, along with dusty earth and herbs. A bit of melon, a touch of cherry, a scooch of honeycomb. Lovely.
An equal blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir consisting mostly of the 2017 vintage with 30% of the previous year’s wine. Nice complexity with plenty of depth and character. Mature yet still so very fresh and electric. Sans dosage and incredibly pure throughout.
The fruitiness of the Pinot shines on the palate with blue and red berries. Roasted nuts and green apples. There’s a little spice and oak. The finish is long and robust. Definitely a favorite. — 9 months ago
Still searching for the right white. This was interesting and not too fruity but yet still a little sweeter than we want. Paired well with food (lemongrass chicken) and would drink it on its own. Would buy again but still searching. — 2 years ago

My oldest bottle of L’Alchimiste and it didn’t disappoint. Anne Sophie Dubois is a talented wine maker. More like Burgundy PN then your typical Cru Bojo. No Carbonic and fermented in used barrels. Light in color but intense red berries and hint of wet dirt. Delicious. — 3 months ago
