This was a bargain-priced (for Volnay) “mystery” purchase from Garagiste a couple of years ago and it’s really nice. Nose is lively and elegant, with sappy cherry and crushed Burgundian stony earth, with a bit of graham-cracker spice. The palate is softly-textured (yay, Volnay!) and the balance between dark, sweet cherry and crushed rock is 50/50. Very elegant.

Really enjoyed this. Decanted for ~2hrs. Beautiful perfume, absolutely delicious. Great balance, and a killer price.
