Castello di Amorosa Cresta d'Oro Vineyard Rosato di Pinot Noir 2020, California
Pale salmon in color.
Light nose of lemons, light strawberries, citrus, limes, river rocks, green apples, sea salt and earth.
Light to medium in body with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, limes, grapefruits, bitter herbs, spices, light earth, green apples and minerals.
Nice length on the finish with limes.
This is a very enjoyable Rosé from Russian River Valley. Nicely balanced, crisp and refreshing. Light and engaging without being bitter nor tart.
This Single Vineyard is showing nice complexity already. Easy drinking and good by itself.
Gets earthier as it opens up with an old world feel (30 minutes).
Good by itself or with food. A tasty wine that I enjoyed all by itself by the pool.
12.5% alcohol by volume.

A strenuous, exciting, sad and rewarding week has come to an end. Unusual and so I picked one of my more unusual champagnes. This is nice, smooth, citrusy and fruity. I liked the white version better a few months ago, but this is clearly a well-made Champagne. Not worth the list price, but at the price I paid I have no regrets. — 14 days ago
Light orange-pink. Expressive, mineral-accented orange zest, red currant, nectarine and succulent floral and herb aromas take on a spicy nuance with air. Lively and sharply focused in the mouth, offering concentrated red berry, pit fruit, tangerine and honeysuckle flavors and a hint of tarragon. The mineral and floral notes drive an impressively long, precise finish that leaves white peach and spice notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July2021)

Tart raspberries, green pear, and white peach… but not as rich as one might think with the high acidity. Almost effervescent on open. Would work with any high-fat food — 2 hours ago
Lobster shell in roe with Sherry sweetness and hawthorn flower and hibiscus aromas aswim in brewer’s yeast. Phenomenally complex. White and bing cherries with underripe apricot and strawberry, lime and lime again, lemon pith and oil, chalky lemon juices, and scallop shell. Flavors off the chart with the biodynamic touch!

Light orange-pink. Fresh red berries, white peach, orange zest and pungent flowers on the mineral-accented nose. Focused and energetic on the palate, offering redcurrant, nectarine and blood orange flavors that deepen and turn sweeter with air. Shows impressive energy and minerally bite on the persistent finish, which leaves lavender and pit fruit notes behind. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2021)

Nose has warmed strawberry, tangerine, apricots and wet roses. Quite expressive tonight, marked improvement from our prior several months earlier.
Palate has under-ripe strawberry, cool Clementine slice, (light) fresh cherries and wet slate. Nice acidity and refreshing finish. Decanted 90m.
Truly, Summer in the glass on a beautiful evening.
On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the the Boston Pops Orchestra. Our Conductor Keith Lockhart is leading an all John WILLIAMS program, with Mr. Williams (hopefully) sharing some of his wonderful stories to accompany the scores.
The program includes selections from..Superman, Heidi, Jaws, The Towering Inferno, Memoirs of a Geisha Oliver, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, Olympic Fanfare & Theme, JFK, Schindler's List, The Witches of Eastwick, Solo: A Star Wars Story, The Empire Strikes Back, The Force Awakens and...Star Wars. So to say we're going to be well versed into the JW catalog will be the understatement of the evening for sure!!! — a day ago
