New vintage who dis? Seamless, unctuous. Truly the wine you need with Sichuan — 2 months ago
Super impressed with how this overdelivered at $20. Drinking great with a few years of bottle development- tons of the classic petrol and mineral notes (as expected since this bottling is named for the ideal fossil/limestone soil found in Spreitzer’s vineyards). — 5 months ago
This was passed around quickly but nice ripe pineapple fruit and a bit of petrol-good acid nice stuff. — 2 years ago
Distinctive style of Riesling from the old vines of the Hendelberg vineyard. Noticeable skin contact and oak influence make this seem a tad more mature than 2017. Underripe passionfruit, strawberries and cream, and spice with a honeyed, medium bodied palate. $20 — 3 months ago
Spicy, deep, ripe. Should drink my other bottles within 2 years. — 7 months ago
My first GG purchase - and what a bargain at $38. Fuller bodied and ripe Riesling that managed to be juicy, dry, and elegant. A hint of oak adds a nice creaminess to the mid palate, while the finish features sizzling clean acidity.
More info: Rosengarten is a 3.5 ha former monopole that is enclosed by historic stone walls and castle ruins which offer protection from wind and cool air (Spreitzer owns 2.5 ha). The soil is shell limestone rich with calcerous loam. — 5 months ago
Apricot marmalade and drying flowers. A little more advanced than expected but still delicious. — 9 months ago
