Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2010
The 2010 La Conseillante has been spellbinding since I first tasted it from barrel. It has an intense nose with black plum, cedar and graphite. It is vibrant and compelling with scents of camphor intertwined. Wonderful delineation; there are layers of aromatic complexity. The palate is beautifully knit with a touch of black pepper and thyme filtering through the black fruit. It retains so much energy on the finish as it fans out with class and verve. Magnificent. Cuvee Prestige Barsac 2015
Exotic fruits, pineapple, passion fruit. On the grassy side, hay, peach in syrup, apricot... superbly in place for this 2015 with a potential for evolution over the next 25 years, potential evolution towards notes of dried fruit and nuts. Sweet without saturated sugar. Digestible and light. A real wine in the refined sense of the term. Magnificent on a Roquefort cheese.
Notes fruits exotiques, ananas, fruits de la passion. Côté herbeux, foins, pêche en sirop, abricot… superbement en place pour ce 2015 avec un potentiel d’évolution sur les 25 prochaines années, évolution potentiels vers des notes de fruits secs. Grand Cru Classé Pauillac Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2017
The 2019 Lynch Bages is every bit as magnificent from bottle as it was from barrel, if not moreso. What a wine! Towering and vertical in its bearing, the 2019 is a total stunner. There is plenty of Lynch Bages charm, but what distinguishes the 2019 most is its spine of tannin and energy. Time in the glass brings out sweet red cherry, plum, blood orange and pomegranate and mint. The 2019 is a great, great, great Lynch Bages. It reminds me of the epic 1989, but with the youthful grip of this vintage. A towering Pauillac, the 2019 Lynch Bages will make a great addition to any cellar. (Antonio Galloi, Vinous, February 2022)

The 2013 Quella is fabulous. Bright, racy and vibrant, the 2013 is just magnificent. There's plenty of tannin and structure, but it’s all woven so well into the wine's frame. The 2021 Chardonnay (Napa Valley) is stellar. Wonderfully refined and airy, the 2021 impresses with its total harmony. It is especially elegant. Whether that is due to the vintage, a tendency to pick on the earlier side these days, or the combination of sites, the 2021 is magnificent, if a bit less showy than it used to be. inky, saturated, dark. Magnificent.
The nose full of violets, crushed rocks, black olives, cedar, black cracked pepper. Alcohol is medium.
On the palate, a masterpiece of tannin management, full throttle yet perfectly integrated, melting in dark ripe berry giving a wholesome mouthfeel and a highly pitched acidity giving lightness and brightness to the overall massive texture.
The full stem gives a lightness to the whole ensamble that is stunning and a masterclass of equilibrium and definition alike.
