Taylor Fladgate Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Porto 1995, Portugal
#AgedWineTuesday
Ruby in color and cloudy, with a wide reddish/ brick rim.
Sweet nose with cedar, vanilla, honey and chocolates.
Sweet on the palate with black fruits, tobacco, cereal, vanilla, licorice, light wood, chocolates, coffee, light cola and peppercorn.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
This 29 year old is still drinking beautifully. Nicely balanced and elegant. Rich and fruit forward.
I don't see it getting any better from this point on. Peaking now and will continue to drink nicely in the next 5 to 7 years.
Delicious right out of the bottle, and a gorgeous dessert wine.

Sweet nose and medium in body with high acidity.
Sweet on the palate with a nice mouth feel.
Showing red and black fruits, tobacco leaf, light earth, brown sugar, Indian spices, peppercorn, herbs and alcohol.
Short finish with Tangy cranberries and honey.
This is not my It is never my favorite port style, but it's very drinkable as a dessert wine.
I enjoyed the nose more than the palate.

From the collection. Wish I would have drank about six months ago, it’s started to mellow out a bit more than I expected. — 8 months ago
Another excellent value from Mart Taylor..at this point, i would MadDog20/20 blend if her name was on it. This particular wine makes me want to drink more loire valley Chenin blanc..great aroma with stone fruit and honey taste with a medium to medium full body..every day drinker that is great by itself or with food and under 20 — a month ago
