Super confectionery aromatics. Loads of citrus and it leans towards grapefruit. Juicy and sleek. Loads of juicy grapefruit. Lovely texture and energy. Great acid and also fleshy grapefruit that is pink and red. So pure and so Pfalz. Not quite ripe enough to see the classic pfalz nectarine/peach. Which i’m ok with. — 6 months ago

Nose is creamy, opulent and ripe. Background of lean minerals. Nice breadth. Melon and cantelope. So pure. Palate is opulent and ripe with lovely texture and just the right amount of acidity. Very easygoing and delicious. Good concentration and exceptional purity and as it airs out it gets leaner and more acidic. 9.3 for now but can see this going higher. Love how lean and nervy this gets with air. So good. Lime zest and flesh now inflecting on the palate. Zippy, zesty and pure. With air this gains energy and salinity. Amazing intensity. — a year ago

Nose is all spicey cherries. Stunning depth and mineral expression. Palate is mouth filling and sweet but also seems to be a bit tinny which is odd. A hint of a metallic taste. But it’s balanced and super pure. Good structure as well and tiny bit of heat. Big tannins but ripe. Good, almost very good but not great. Long finish. Clings. Almost a 9.3. — 6 months ago

L'ambre Orange Wine Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains 2021

One of daughter Georgie’s natural wines. Very perfumed and aromatic particularly being from the Muscat grape also with skin contact. The palate is very “fruit juicy” with low acid. No point in cellaring any of these. — 2 years ago

@Byron Hewett I don’t mind a little bit of skinnsy bitterness but it wasn’t overdone.

Just checking in, because Muscat and Gewurztraminer often finish with a bit of bitter on the finish. I am usually ok with it. My wife, not so much

Nose is cranberry, mint, minerals, powdery effect, wet earth, dead leaves. Really developed and complex. Palate is lacey and so elegant. Limpid and ethereal. Nimble and racy with great energy and tangy cherry and cranberry fruit. Finishes wish energy, acid and mineral and lingering sour cherry. Great wine! — 8 months ago

Sick nose. So distinctive. Apricot, iodine, saline, superb minerality. Forest scents. Palate is just breathtaking. Elegant, fresh and huge acids. Dense and deep but so ultra refined. Complex and super juicy and that acid really goes into overdrive on the finish. Terrific mineral complexity just dances on the palate. Gorgeous interplay of fruit and mineral. — 3 years ago
