A rich nose. So intense. Ripe but clean and loads of yellow fruits. Lovely minerality under all that richness. So pure. Gorgeous restraint for the richness. Like a small bite in a Michelin ***. Wow that palate though has that crazy 19 acids in all of Sven’s 19’s. So nice. Sappy, dense and lithe all at the same time. Amazing purity. Such lift. Best vintage for this ever. Just a sick wine. Electric. Nose gets more green tea now with air. Just outrageous complexity. Ridiculous depth. Now the nose is coming into better balance. Layered, floral and complex. This is a stunning wine. Wet stones on the nose. What electricity on the palate. Young and so promising but man what a thrill now. This has structure to burn. Better in 5 years. — 6 days ago
Complex nose of spice, petrol, vulcanized rubber. Cotton candy. Peach. Apple skins. Very complex and giving. Very elegant, sappy and super pure. What texture and gracefulness. Terrific woodsy earthy spice on the nose after it aerates. Superb aromas. Smells like a scene in nature. Awesome acids and lift. Terrific intensity. Really great texture and some pithy citrus on the finish. — 10 days ago
Nose has ripe apricot, ripe peach, guava, ripe nectarine, wet vinyl, kiln dried lumber, honeysuckle flowers and cold table salt.
Palate has over-ripe apricot, ripe tangerine, peach skin, confectioners sugar with restrained sweetness and mild acidity. Awesome wine.

What a great wine. A brilliant version of this. Lemon oil, huge minerals, some green tea. So delicate and playful. Citrus. Citrus jelly. Really clear and mineral. Huge acid and drive on the palate. Amazing texture. Lime and rock flavors mixed with some killer herbals and bitters. Awesome structure and density but so lithe. Mosel like nimbleness and purity. Just a terrific terrific bottle. Really the biggest revelation of these recent 19 Riesling Tastings. This has just crazy and acidity and freshness. What a finish. Lime sweet tart such mineral drive on this. — 6 days ago
Very confectionary nose. So so good. Just so aromatic. Cotton candy, minerals, herbs and spice. Palate is classy and elegant with tremendous purity and juiciness. Round yet energetic and superb minerality and freshness throughout. Dazzlingly pure. Terrific depth. Finishes very mineral. — 10 days ago
A step up over the 17. The nose let’s you know you are in rarified air. Superb complexity and such depth. Floral, vanilla extract and superb freshness. Herbal as well. Some citrus peeking through. Tangelo skin and pithy. Huge huge minerals. Confectionary. Ripe. Enormous complexity. Palate is incredible. Deep, juicy and with impressive breadth. Obviously showing younger than the 17 but also has more concentration and purity. Awesome freshness and grip. Terrific fruit, citrus rides on a wave of minerality on the finish. Superb length and clarity. Lovely hint of spice on the finish. Stunning. Even with some air the nose goes krazy and gets so pungent. Insane citrus and depth. So floral. Stunning! Wow that palate is the ultimate rich/fresh combo. — 9 days ago
Thanks. Deep and very perfumed nose. Vanilla extract, herbs, spice and some apricot. Lifted and energetic nose. Really deep and wafting. Even floral. Palate is ripe, deep and juicy with appealing bitters in the finish. Acid is caressing and woven. Lovely hint of bell pepper on the nose. So good. Elegant, deep and super pure. This is a brilliant Riesling. Incredible texture and sap. What a finish. Almost a 9.4.

A very interesting wine. Definitely spatburgunder from a flavor profile. But classic burgundy from a style profile. Very elegant and balanced. Sort of a soft early season cherry fruit. It has acidic balance but much less pronounced than most fass wine on the attack. May be the vintage. More on the finish which is sprightly. Long and elegant with cherry perfume. ... as this aerates it has this wackily gorgeous cherry flower thing going on. In 3 years this could drink like a $150 wine. Which makes sense as it’s grand cru terroir even if it cost $30 or so. Finish is sweet cherry licorice. WOW. Approaching top 10 lifetime qpr. So elegant. ... as this evolves it’s so delicious in a unique way. — 2 years ago
