Took me a while to decide if I liked this or not. Still not sure really. At times this feels like a great California expression of good white burgundy - puligny perhaps - from a producer we obviously respect. But at other times the buttery lanolin notes are too much for me, and overall the acid was one notch less than I was hoping. Still a nice wine. — 7 months ago
Strong mineral character, as the name suggests, reminding me of an Alsatian white crossed with a Cali Chard. Great balance of acidity and oak, notes of lemon custard, crushed pineapple, sea spray, and vanilla. — 8 months ago
Somewhat interesting single #evangelhovineyard #carignan from Bedrock. This medium plus bodied red opens up pretty slow. After a couple of days in wine chiller, dusty black fruit, bruised plum, faint sweet tobacco notes. Initial push of savory character on palate, chocolate, blackberry, lots of acidity. However, there’s a flatness mid palate - there are much stronger values from this producer in their blends with wider distribution. #contracostacounty — 2 months ago
Another stellar showing. So enjoyed the bottle a few weeks ago I could not resist another dip in the pool. Opened beautifully throughout the night. This producer and wine is one of my favorites so it just synchs with me but I think it’s a vibrant new world take on Bordeaux. Lots always going on in the glass but there is a brightness that makes it a bit livelier and it’s such a blissful harmony between it all. — 7 months ago
This is definitely “fruit-forward” with bright aromas of berries and bold flavor and a rich color. Holds up well a little bit chilled for a late-summer picnic dinner. — 2 months ago
The nose on the ‘21 Areio e Vento e Amor hits you from 5 ft away, full of ripe fruit but also chocolate, mushroom, and brush. It’s a translucent purple with a touch of Evangelho dusty-ness in the glass. Smooth and balanced with mild tannins at first, it opened up in the glass and alongside food to some intense berry jam and pepper flavors. — 5 months ago

The 2022 Evangelho Heritage blend by Bedrock is very light on its feet with a streak of bracing acidity — almost effervescence — along with light tannins. It’s a deep hazy purple in its youth with a nose of tart berry compote and leather. Seems like it will mature nicely. — 25 days ago
