Translucent ruby. Baked cherry & strawberry flavors on the palate with dried tobacco leaf on finish. Elegant, medium bodied, with bright acidity . Good balance. Not fat or flabby, over ripe or jammy. Impressive. Too bad it was my only bottle! — 3 days ago
A big, big fan of Varner and their Foxglove, the best QPR 2nd label in Cali, with Talley’s Bishop’s Peak a close second. Varner’s entry-level Los Alamos pinot is a super fresh, light-bodied style with ample fruit, depth, and acidity. For $20 it’s SOLID. Varner’s higher end chard/pinot are superb. Seek out the entire range. Foxglove truly rocks as well. — 7 days ago
So far, our favorite Syrah. We love this vineyard. Light, with raspberry, current, and tart tastes. Love the notes on the nose. — 2 days ago
