Dry Creek Vineyard, with more more than 50 years of history and tradition in Dry Creek Valley, is one of Northern California’s most consistent and excellent producers of Sauvignon Blanc. This is the unmasked version, and there is a slightly richer, very lightly packed version called FumêBlanc. Crisp pear, green apple, yellow apple, grapefruit, gooseberry, passion fruit… this wine is a summary of all the main characteristics of the grape. Refreshing acidity, beautiful balance and bargain priced - just terrific — 2 days ago
Last of the three bottles. Quite oxidative notes. Very low minerality and even sweet.
V. Good wine but will definetly not hold it so long next time. Max 5-6 years. — 5 days ago
A delicious crisp citrusy white, perfect as a cold complement to an easy summer plate of Happy Hour nibbles. — 4 days ago
The waitress took away our bottle too quickly and I couldn't snap it but this went super well along our see food plate (different types of see snails, raw oysters, big pink shrimps, scampi...).
Mineral nose with crushed rocks, lemon and an herbal note that sings. The palate is acid driven with good grip, a good width, some lemon notes all along anf à long lemony finish that goes on for a long while, complementing see food super well. Great pairing — 21 days ago
The nose is really superb, between bright notes of fruit (citrus fruits, apricot stones), barrel notes. Lively mouth, beautiful minerality, gunstone, notes of onion, poultry. Balanced, well-built body. Superb finish also, bringing together the tasting bouquet. Nice pleasure!
Beau plaisir! — 8 days ago
Pale lemon with aromas of ripe stone and citrus fruits with dried floral herb notes. On the palate flavors of apple and lemon with crisp acidity and pronounced mineral notes. Medium finish, ending with citrus, herb and flinty mineral character. Good now and will improve over next several years! — 23 days ago
Delicate, precise and mineral on the nose. The palate is medium-bodied - quite viscous - and mostly citrus and stone fruit, faint grassy notes. A bit shy, though. Seems to hold back. Maybe closed at the time..?
More weight and more generosity on the day after. So, up a notch. — a month ago
Mineral finish, citrus light pineapple- cold crisp refreshing with a slight tang. No major sweetness — 14 days ago
"Odedi"
This is a very tasty Sauvignon Blanc from the Loire Valley.
Lighter on the nose and dry on the palate, with medium plus acidity.
Showing limes, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, light earth and white pepper.
Showing nice complexity with a soft mouthfeel. Juicy and entertaining.
Better on the palate and simpler the nose.
Nicely balanced, crisp and refreshing, and good by itself or with food. A good party wine too.
I paired it with fresh oysters.
91 points.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
