Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim and medium plus intensity. Very pretty.
On the nose bing cherries, blueberries, spices, light oak, light red candy, earth and black pepper.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.
Dry on the palate with bing cherries, raspberries, blueberries, light wood, light earth, spices and peppercorn.
Medium plus on the finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.
This 4 year old Pinot Noir from Sonoma County is drinking very nicely now. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.
Fruit forward and easy drinking with a spicy finish. Fun wine and very tasty now. Alcohol is nicely integrated by now.
Will continue to drink nicely in the next 3 to 5 years.
Good right out of the bottle. I gave it a light chill and had it by the pool. Paired nicely with a Double cream Brie cheese.
100% Pinot Noir grapes from a Single Vineyard. A small production of only 92 cases. Aged in 30% new oak barrels.
14.5% alcohol by volume.

Wow, you can tell this had some big fruit in its youth...because it’s still prominent. Nose has faded to a sour/candied cherry. Lively acidity wraps dark red fruits, figs, black cherry liquor. Nuts. Looooooong finish. Reminds me of a tawny. Definitely several years left in this old gal, which is wild. — a day ago
Drank this right when it was first offered and then held a few bottles on my rack. A couple years appear to have smoothed some of the rough edges and made a more “simple” cuvee into something more elegant. Yes, we get the dark berry combination on the nose and palate but the mid palate to finish feels velvety and screams “Drink More!” — 12 days ago
Classic raspberry bramble of a nose.
Light to medium bodied - strawberry jam, a touch of green tea and sarsaparilla. The well integrated acid rear up, and sings it’s way through till the end.
This is a classic wine house, and although it leans a little to the hotel side of the wine world, it’s worth to let sit for a couple of years, and blow off some of that over reaching Cali flavor. — 15 days ago
Bedrock Dolinsek Ranch Red
Dried blackberries and rich black and pruned plums. Black cherry dusted bituminous. Cedar and wet violets locked in an energetic embrace. Baked strawberry aromas and dried rose petal. Dried lavender emerges from bing cherry and red currant with a blackberry and bitter chocolate entourage. Touches of ginger and chicory on a medium full palate that bursts with Mallow blossom and blueberry. Intermittently tart, tangy, rich and floral, with a medicinal nod in the dried aromatics, that is a welcome and pleasant diversion. There is a black currant leaf note that likely opens to fruit with age, but is still very pleasant in its youth. #bedrockwineco #BedrockDolinsekRanchVineyards #BedrockDolinsekRanchRed #Sonoma #RussianRiver #RussianRiverValley #Russianriverred #SonomaCounty #DolinsekRanch #dryfarmed #LagunaTrenton #redwine #cared #calired #californiawine — 19 days ago
As a long time lover of Pax Wines. These have changed with age. Once a powerhouse, it’s become more sublime. Aged Syrah is awesome, just different. Dry and elegant, with a dark fruit on the nose, the palate reveals blackberry and spicy and lots of black pepper. Rich mouthfeel and medium acidity. It’s all still there, but on it’s last leg. Still so good @Pax Mahle — 12 days ago
17’ Château Boswell True Course Chardonnay. Sourced from the 1/3 of each Rued, Ritchie, & Sebastopol Vineyards in Sonoma County.
Melka with a home run Chardonnay!
Wow... this Chardonnay is playing in the deep end. Full- body to say the least. Pear, peach, honeycomb. Perfect amount of acidity/minerality from the center of the palate to the back. Top 10 bottles of California Chardonnay I’ve had this year.
Edit - Throw this into a decanter for a short period of time. — 14 days ago
