Quinta da Serradinha

Vinho Regional Lisboa Red Blend 2015

Wow. Fresh and bursting with purple flowers, dark cherries, ripe strawberry, soil. Portugal delivers on the value front once again. And they put a ladybug on the cork! It’s the details — 7 days ago

Quinta de Vargellas Vintage Port 2001

Vintage 2001 / A treat. I did not smell much (plums, currants, spicyness), but a taste 🤭 Great concentration, velvety, lots of fruit. Partnered it with Stilton cheese. — 23 days ago

Quinta da Foz

Grande Reserva Douro Red Blend 2016

Dark bramble fruit on the nose. Blackberry, fig and earth on the palate. Good balance of mouthwatering acids transitioning to tobacco and leather lingering tannins on the finish. More sophisticated than sweet. — 12 days ago

Willamette Valley Vineyards

Quinta Reserva Oregon Port Style Pinot Noir 1995

From Bermann’s Lexington 1994 Thanksgiving on 11/26/20. Cloudy orange. Surprisingly good — not too sweet; almost like vermouth, very hazelnutty. Remainder on 11/27/20. Lots of sediment. Odd effect — feel a little unwell both rounds — 4 days ago

Quinta do Crasto

Reserva Douro Red Blend 2015

For the reserva with 5+ yrs I expected it to be a bit more refined. As others have mentioned its on the boozy side. Though slightly “in your face” there is much to like. The nose is very complex and the palate is anything from boring. Before trying another bottle I would like to aged this for another 3 years. Still worth the price. — 3 days ago

Quinta do Noval

Noval Black Porto Port Blend

Made a believer out of me. Deep honeyed raisin, balanced by acidity and a touch of tannin and mineral. — 2 days ago
