Brut Royal Champagne Blend

From the house where the brut Champagne was invented, the NV bottling is equal parts Chard/PN/PM from 40 crus, with about 30% reserve wine, and spends 36 months on lees.
Pear, green apple, lime, peach, and light crusty bread, the nose showcases more Chardonnay characters. Bright, youthful, yet delicate in the palate.
Lacking a bit complexity and intensity, but I like the roundness and balance here.

Cuvée Louise Brut Nature Champagne Blend 2004

Interesting, this bottle in contrast to the last one drinks like a zero dosage. Very dry. Quite pleasant. We now getting out of the standard ones and the next ones in the ice bucket will be awesome — 3 years ago

Cuvée Louise Brut Champagne Blend 2004

This took time to open when it did I leaned towards aged grand cru burgundy as the bubbles were fine and faded fast. Intense power and creaminess as it unfolded. Lots of acid that made this drink well with almost every dish.

Brut Methode Traditionnelle Rose Blend

Soft salmon color. Light aromas of red berries along with orange and lemon. Red berry and currant flavors with just a touch of minerality. High activity scrubbing bubbles act as a great pallet cleanser. (But not too aggressive). Elegant, round and nicely balanced. Well crafted. Thank You, Kase! — 2 years ago

Brut Grand Cru Champagne Blend 2008

Deep gold. Persistent tiny bubbles. Brioche apple dumpling on the nose and light bright palate. Firm, mouthwatering acidity imparting an almost tannic mouthfeel. Lingering baked apple finish. Excellent representative of an excellent vintage. A great starter and a percent accompaniment to poultry, seafood, or pork dishes. And it sings in a cream sauce! Drink now through 2038. — 3 months ago

England Brut Chardonnay Blend

We popped this British beauty to help celebrate a friends birthday from afar and boy was it a delight to drink.

We were kindly sent this sample bottle from Pommery to help celebrate their first British sparkling wine! They’re the first Champagne house to produce an English fizz and wow, I was impressed!

In fact I’d drink it over a few of the big brand NV Champagnes. That’s how well it went down! At approximately $89 a pop I definitely would expect that.

The grapes 🍇 are grown in Hampshire, Southern England and it’s made from the classic champagne grapes with the majority being Chardonnay. It’s Pommery in style from English terroir.

In the glass it’s a brilliant morning sunshine hue. The nose is super fresh with yellow orchard fruits and citrus however it also made me think of vanilla honey on crumpets. The palate is smooth and perfectly rounded. My oh my it’s divine.

All opinions are my own. Drink what you enjoy!
