Barbera d'Alba 2019

Darker than the Langhe Nebbiolo and Pelaverga tried on same weekend and more purple than the Langhe Friesa. Compared to Burlotto’s Aves Barbera which is aged in wood, this is a lighter interpretation. Although I understand the best Barbera fruit goes into the Aves don’t underestimate this as it is bright and pure with the same plum accent. Nice — 8 months ago

Elatis Rosato Nebbiolo Blend

On the orange-side of rose. Surprisingly low acidity but perfectly refreshing nonetheless, and the bottle went down quite quickly. Nice mix of dried flower and orange peel. From a mix of their red grape varieties I believe. I don’t think this is one to keep, so go for latest vintage. Fifth bottle of Burlotto drinkers in last week and all have been enjoyable. Looking forward to trying their Langhe Mores blend for the first time tonight. — 8 months ago
