Smells of a berry orchard after a rain - ripe and delicious with that layer of ozone holding the smells in.
Berry blend here on this delicious wine - black, red, stone fruits as well.- peach, plum, cherry. A weighty wine with hints of white pepper, green Chile. Lingers with tannins that are strong, yet not overbearing, and a bright fruit punch acidity.

Nose has smoked & partially-dried plum, sliced cherries dredged in cocoa powder, faint baking spice, mashed black cherries, old cigar box and dried blackberries.
Palate has grilled plum, savory herbs, over-ripe blackberry, bittersweet chocolate chips, faint fire-roasted tomato and raspberry puree.
Decanted +3H, needs lots more time to uncoil. Medium to heavy tannins with a drying palate texture similar to eating a spoonful of cocoa powder, dry + chocolatey. A wall of tannins, if drinking this before 2026, decant at least 8-12H. — 13 days ago
MEAT up with me to enjoy this wine. Silky acidity kisses fatty cured wild boar and slums the palate so you’re ready for more. Dark and delicious just like the salami with which it pairs. Hint of cigar. Bring this leathery bottle, I may show you some lace. — 2 days ago
The 2018 Lagrein from Abbazia di Novacella in Alto Adige is dark and savory from the first taste, boasting a gorgeous bouquet of black cherry, blueberry, brown spice, sage and peppery florals. It has a juicy and gracious personality with captivating grip. A gateway expression of Lagrein. $20.00 (Eric Guido, Vinous, October 2020) — 2 days ago
This Mexican red wine certainly feels earthy and fruity like other Valle de Guadalupe wines I have had. This wine, though comes from the Italian grape Nebbiolo, doesn’t really have the sharpness (full tannins) most Italian wines have and most often need a food pairing. This wine because it’s light, smooth and almost Zin-like without being overly sweet. — 5 days ago
Hosting a Barolo night. Wine #2. The wine of the night. Simply elegant. Glorious fruit and silky tannins from sip to finish. Simply put, this is a remarkable wine. FYI from the winemaker. Open 1 hr prior to serving and leave in the bottle. The bottle should be served at 65° and never left to warm to room temp. — 7 days ago
Vino color violaceo intenso con cuerpo medio bajo a la vista, completamente clarficado sin impurezas. Con aromas de levaduras, vainilla, fresas maduras y menta.
Alcohol medio alto, dulzor medio, amargor medio alto, acidez media baja, astringencia baja. En retrogusto predomina un gusto mermeladoso con vainilla y un amargor correcto, la persistencia es baja de 2-3 s. — 14 days ago
