Palomino Fino And Pedro Ximénez

Bodegas Forlong

Vidueños Palomino Pedro Ximénez 2016

See previous. A delicious one off that lives on the edge of Fino . Decidedly saline, with an oxidized edge. Most refreshing on a warm day with seafood.
I believe it’s 90% Palomino 10% Pedro Ximinez.

Fino Montilla-Moriles Pedro Ximinez

N: Big acetone, oranges, varnish. This isn’t a seaside fino, as it’s Pedro Ximinez from Montilla-Moriles. Inland. The salinity is less so than in the Jerez models.
P: Nuts , oranges,like a dry marmalade,lots of fruit. Almonds.
Really nice on a hot day.
Thanks@Enramistas.

Apostles Palo Cortado Muy Viejo Palomino Fino

Blend of 90% Palomino and 10% Pedro Ximénez, aged for 30 years. Mahogany color. Aromas of burnt caramel, hazelnuts, old furniture and hints of vanilla and raisins. Intense on the palate. Loads of hazelnuts. Great length, incredible persistence. Flavors of hazelnuts and tobacco leaves lingering for minutes — 2 years ago

Fino Capataz Solera de la Casa Montilla-Moriles Pedro Ximénez

Very old fino by a historic Montilla producer - with about 12 years of aging under flor in the solera system. Intense nose. Full-bodied, rounder than most Finos from Jerez (made with Pedro Ximenez, instead of Palomino) — a year ago

Los Arcos Solera Amontillado Dry Sherry

My favourite style of Sherry so I’m biased. I really enjoy the unusual blend of fine herbs, brine, and chamomile that mingles with toffee, toasted coconut, and hazelnut — 5 months ago
