Great with crab. 2020 vintage, buy again at $11. — 5 days ago
Pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruit with floral notes. On the palate flavors of grapefruit, green apple and pear fruit flavors with some grassy tones, lively acidity. Medium+ finish ending with fruit, herbal, floral, grassy and mineral notes. Lightly chill so you can experience all of the nuances while you sip this fine wine. — 7 days ago
Pop and pour, notes from 4 hrs open. Cork was penetrated about halfway, just like the last btl (this was an auction purchase, so I can't speak to provenance). Wow, a little over 3 years from my last btl. On the nose: cracked blacl pepper, wild strawberry, sweet black raspberry, a touch of va, but cool if that makes sense, and some soft underbrush. On the palate: fantastic acidity, more black pepper, soft creamy bacon fat, blackberry, but slightly thinner than the nose suggests. So light and lively for a syrah. Supple, but serious tannin on the finish, which leans slightly green. Very good. — 19 days ago
Just revisited 2016, glad I knew to hold onto a bottle. With holding a year or so, obtained at tasting room pre-lockdown, the wine has pleasantly evolved in the directions I was hoping.
Color has gone from clear/green to lemon yellow, floral notes on the nose, with jasmine green tea, honey, white grapefruit pith on the palette.
Delighted to witness the evolution. Expand plantings, good job Tommy Jr.. More please.

My ‘Mercian wine for a happy 4th! And these exploded! The cab was very good. Initial nose was big, but the mid palate was thin, even watery. Finish brought it back. Threw it in a decanter and 6 hours later it came together with black currants, chocolate, and just enough oak to backbone without ruining it. Meanwhile we had the ridge Syrah behind it which is my happy place. — 19 days ago
