Omg didn’t expect to feel enthused and I am at least enthusing. It’s got that good ripeness but is ohhhh so fresh in an unpretentious way like it is en pointe but it took it til age 16 for madame to approve it for pointe (not projecting real life nahhh) so it says “elegant red and black fruit with undercurrents earth” but ”oh hi I’m so ripe cause like, The sun is hot!”. Ugh I adore this didn’t expect to and I do. Egads. — 3 years ago
Soft with good acidity and classic PN fruit. Delicious. Madame LeRoy are you tasting this one? — 3 years ago
Vintage 2010 - there are multiple reasons why I love #bourgueil let me explain. When I just discovered wine as a real passion - at the age of 18 - I adored the raspberry smell no other wine offered so generous. I like the name: Bourgueil is by far the most beautiful AOC name. My wife and I fell in love with the great dishes of Madame Debacker and the #Loire region on our honeymoon. This #cabernetfranc is deep black in the glass. It has character. Even at this age the wine shows a bit harshness, and an austerity that is found in Bordeaux often. But the raspberry and cherry smell reminds me of Cru de Beaujolais. It has also flint and mineral expression in smell, hints of leather, tobacco, clove. On the tongue it has a velvety structure. Bourgueil can be complex and frivolous at the same time. / Partnered it with Bavette from bbq and cauliflower mousse. — 4 years ago
Fun & fruity.
A bit more ripe fruit and body than expected in a classic Provence rosé, but I like it. Madame Gavoty blends in a few hours saignee rosé with direct press. Raspberry, strawberry, cherry, garrigue, wet limestone on the nose. Red fruits, orange zest, sour peach candy on the palate. Mineral sneaks back in on the finish. — 12 days ago
Pale salmon in color. Nose of minerally melon, echoed on the palate which also yields white flowers and marzipan. Body is light. Acidity is medium minus (as appropriate for the appellation). Finish is surprisingly long. As I’ve read, the 2018 vintage is a bit weaker than its immediate predecessors and that shows here. Not as much depth as last year, but Madame Sumiere still managed to pull off a very nice and typical rosè. As well she should, having invented the style and all. Salade Niçoise is of course a natural pair, but feel free to take this one into the fall. Drink now. — 3 years ago

The nose reveals, mashed, sour, candied/liqueured, meyer lemon, very ripe, pineapple, golden apple, lime skin, & green apple w/ almost no skin, fresh, herbal qualities, honey, beeswax, vanillin, warm caramel, limestone minerals, soft chalkiness, wet stone with yellow lilies and florals and mixed greens.
The body is; round, rich, bold, thick & waxy. It is gorgeous over the palate. Mashed, sour, candied/liqueured, meyer lemon, grapefruit pulp, dry & candied pineapple, golden apple, key lime, stone fruit, tangerine & green apple w/ almost no skin, fresh, herbal qualities, honey, beeswax, vanillin, warm caramel, toffee, marmalade, white spice, limestone minerals, soft chalkiness, wet stone, dusty dry rocks, saline notes with yellow lilies, white florals & mixed greens. The acidity is, beautifully, round & phat. The rich, ruby, heather honied, well balanced/polished finish delicious & lingers well.
Photos of; two aspect views of Domaine Leroy & Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy (The Queen of Burgundy) in her precious vineyards. She all about bio-dynamic, lower yields, prunes by hand and sings to her vines. And, who could argue her success. — 3 years ago

Very rich and complex. Was expecting a basic lirac Blanc but this was much more. Very nice. — 18 days ago
