Excellent. Raspberry and cranberries with a soft velvet ness and a bit of body without heavy ness. A very fine wine especially for the price. With air or cellaring this will probably bloom more but it is still lovely. Interestingly I don’t pick up green peppers on this even though it definitely feels cab franc. Highly recommended. Second best cab franc I’ve had so far.
Edit after about an hour in decanter: still very nice but perhaps a little larger of a wine than I initially noticed. Not huge but more fruit and a bit of spice on the taste. A smidge tart on the aftertaste. Still I don’t find the green pepper here. Quite fine and still recommend. But the fruit is a bit more prominent. Maybe some bottle she would bring up more interesting secondary characteristics. — 6 months ago

2012 vintage. Chocolate brownie with dried raspberries and tie red cherries. Baked black currant, dried blueberry, moist banana bread, violet in bloom, blackberry, vanilla, cinnamon.
Nice entry weight gives way to rich dark chocolate, dried strawberry, Cuban coffee, blackberry reduction, dark baked blueberries, grippy tannins, big fruit and density with a lingering depth.

Popped and poured, consumed over several hours. Initially served chilled and then allowed to come up to room temperature. It should be noted that this was lovely from the first pour but improved with air and as it warmed. The 2009 Domaine du Collier Saumer Blanc pours a bright golden color, with no signs of sediment or gas. High viscosity. On the nose, this is extremely floral…like being in a grove of magnolia trees in full bloom. The flowers are accompanied by bright citrus fruit, lanolin, alfalfa and honey. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. The notes from the bouquet are confirmed and accompanied by the most lovely, almost oily texture. This is oh so woolly! The finish goes long. This is my first experience with Antoine’s wine and I’m now absolutely smitten (thanks Tim). A simply gorgeous example of Chenin from a warm vintage and an alternative to Joly if you crave a natural touch…but not too natural. This is a banger now and will continue to be so for some time. Wow.

This is a wonderful wine from Luc Morlet. The wine opens with aromatic honey & melon on the palate with plenty of underlying structure. The 2010 is in full bloom. What a delight! — 4 years ago
