2012 vintage. Chocolate brownie with dried raspberries and tie red cherries. Baked black currant, dried blueberry, moist banana bread, violet in bloom, blackberry, vanilla, cinnamon.
Nice entry weight gives way to rich dark chocolate, dried strawberry, Cuban coffee, blackberry reduction, dark baked blueberries, grippy tannins, big fruit and density with a lingering depth.

The 2007 Opus One is comprised of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec, which comes from an excellent growing season in Napa Valley. This exceptional red blend begins with aromas of anise, hazelnut, mocha and crème de cassis, all soaring from the glass. This leads to rich, beautifully concentrated flavors of crème de cassis, kalmata olive, Turkish coffee, black cherries and anise. Overall, this is intense and layered with wonderful opulence and a long, multidemsional finish. A highly memorable effort from Opus One. Drink 2019-2033-93

Big bouquet, full bodied with plenty of spices. Currant plenty with hints of tobacco and leather. Definitely needs to be decanted for hours. Recommend laying down for a couple of years. A winner.

2017 not as earthy as 2012 and not as smooth As 2019

While my favorite, 2017 has a few years to grow. Very flavorful but still young.

Still a bit young but lots of potential. To become an incredible wine.
