Dates back to the late 1800s, & have been owned by Solari family since 1948. The historic Estate has 145 acres. Deep Ruby with complex aromas of fruit, sweet cacao & spice for this Bordeaux blend of 42% Merlot, 35% Cab Sauv, 13% Malbec. 5% Petit Verdot & 5% Cab Franc. On the palate well structured with big fruit flavors of blackberry, raspberry & sweet cherry with espresso & cacao notes adding a bit of leather. Fine tannins, big finish, pops out of the glass ending with beautiful fruit & a bit of sweet oak. — a month ago

Time for some Merlot on this

Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish rim.

Spicy nose of blackberries, black currants, plums, cooked cherries, oak, vanilla, licorice, cloves, herbs, spices, dark chocolates, coffee, earth, pencil lead and peppercorn.

Medium plus in body with medium acidity.

Dry on the palate with blackberries, black currants, plums, spices, light wood, licorice, earth, peppercorn, tobacco, coffee, and dark chocolates.

Spicy finish with soft tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a nice red blend from California. This 6 year old is drinking very nicely now, especially with food. Very spicy, Interesting and pleasant.

Showing good acidity, that pairs nicely with food. The zinfandel and Syrah give it that spiciness, and the Merlot gives it that tangy finish, a very nice combination, especially with the grilled Meats.

I paired it with BBQ lamb chops.

A blend of 42% Merlot, 46% Syrah and 12% Zinfandel. Only 92 cases produced.

Salmon in color with a peachy tint.

Very interesting nose of citrus, red gummy candy, raspberries, light grapefruits, green apples, white pepper and spices.

Full bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.

Dry on the palate with limes, cherries, raspberries, peaches, apples, spices and black pepper.

Nice spicy finish with grapefruits and spices.

This is a very pleasant and easy drinking Rosé from Napa Valley. Showing mild complexity with a great mouthfeel.

Good right out of the bottle and better after 20 minutes of airtime.

Good by itself or with food, and better when properly chilled. I had it by the pool with Brie cheese and crackers. Very tasty.

Postmark Zinfandel Blend 2005

Nose has ripe plum, cedar cigar box, lavender, dried blueberries, dried black currant, licorice candy, mashed black cherries with light alcohol heat (assumed from the Zinfandel).

Palate has over-ripe plum, blackberry, milk chocolate, granite dust, violets, cocoa powder, ripe blackberries with still present tannins and a long finish. Spectacular. Drink Magnum's on this 2020-2030, when in proper storage. Based on this evenings performance, I suspect this will be in prime enjoyment 2024+.

1500ml bottle bought from the winery in October 2008; a blend of 58% Zinfandel, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon.

A perfect pairing to amazing seasoned and grilled NY Strip steaks from Kinderhook Farm (Valatie, NY), pulled at 125° and will rested afterwards, barely needed knives this evening!

Unoaked Judean Hills Chardonnay Sauvignon Blanc 2017


Pale lemon in color with a green hue.

Fruity nose of citrus, limes, lemons, grapefruits, green apples, spices, herbs, minerals, sea salt and white pepper.

Medium plus in body with medium-plus acidity and long legs.

Dry and crispy on the palate with lemons, citrus, green apples, grapefruits, herbs and spices.

Long finish with limes and almonds.

This 3 year old Sauvignon Blanc/ Chardonnay blend is drinking very nicely now. Still nice and crisp, and good for the pool. Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel.

Really shows the complexity when not too cold. Better after 30 minutes of airtime and nicer when not very chilled.

Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a gorgeous day by the pool.

A blend of 58% Sauvignon Blanc and 42% Chardonnay grapes from the Judean Hills region. Kosher. Not Mevushal.
