Reserva Rioja Tempranillo

Deep Ruby with dark fruit aromas and big spicy notes. On the palate blackberry and plum flavors with notes of black pepper and vanilla. Savory, grippy tannins on medium finish ending with fruit and earthy herb notes. Ok for price but better ones available. Tasting Sample.

Clear, bright ruby. Nose and palate of dark red cherry and rooibos. Medium acidity and medium tannins developing after some air. I’m not as big a fan of Rioja as I am of Ribera del Duero and Toro, so it’s hard to judge this beyond “okay.” Good fruit and good structure yield a good wine that will nicely accompany good food. Nothing seismic enough to change my opinion about the region.

Nose of american oak and some cherry. Medium palate with cherry, some spice, and a hint of wood. Medium to long finish. A great value at 15$

Rich, meaty and elegant. Absolutely delicious wine for 20 bucks. Put it with some flank steak with serano chimichurri and it is match made in heaven.

Mocha, berries, light / deep nose, spice, bark, medium tannins,

Dark ruby hue with high saturation. Aromas and flavors of cherry, oak, plum, tar, and vanilla. Full body; heavy but grainy tannins; and medium-high acidity. Rich and balanced. Excellent QPR.

Good but not great

Light body but with some heavy body notes. Vanilla, oak. Not quite what I was expecting, but it seems to have aged pretty well.
