This recently released, iconic wine from Rioja, is already drinking very nicely, although still young.
Showing an elegant mouthfeel with nice complexity. Nicely balanced and tasty. A good quality wine.
Will continue to age nicely in the next 20 years.

Many notes; smoke, earth, I also think butter — 18 days ago
The first bolted I had from the brick hose was in 2002 and now2016 still a great wine today — 3 months ago
Historic 2nd Growth Left Bank blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (72%) and Merlot (27%). Dark red brick color. Aromas are more tertiary (fruit has subsided over time) and include chocolate, toasted nuts, graphite and minerals. Still a bit of dried fruit (black raspberry/cherry/plum) on the palate with a touch of vanilla and mineral and baking spices. Beautiful mouthfeel due to the very silky tannins. Wonderfully soft and smooth. Quite interesting to experience what bottle age can do for high quality wine. Still has some time left but heading to the finish line. Thank you so much for bringing this bottle, Kase. — 3 months ago
Grapefruit, cherries, rhubarb, and bright acidity. Another delicious wine from KB. — 2 months ago
Medium ruby color.
Aromas of plum, forest floor.
Dry. Flavors of plum, clove, cherry, cocoa, strawberry pastry. Rich & juicy! Moderate tannins are as smooth as butter.

Simple yet likable label design. Dark as night. Smells like fresh cooked rice and berries. Persian yellow rice. Or something like that. An aromatic grain with maybe some butter in it. Not quite the ‘bacon’ of some Syrah, but similar. Flavors are great. Berry compote and bitter greens with balsamic. Good cough syrup (is that a thing lol?!). This is an unapologetic big Syrah with lots of extracted tannin and a healthy bite, but it is very tasty. — 25 days ago
