Les Abeilles Côtes du Rhône Blanc Roussanne Clairette Blanche 2018

Amazing value. Nice and round and juicy but with just enough complexity and freshness to keep you wanting more. — 8 days ago

Les Rouges du Dessus 1er Cru Vosne-Romanée Pinot Noir 2012

One of the finest Vosnes we had in a couple of years. Very asian spices and floral, dark cherries, elegant and bold same time, medium bodied with excellent length. Great tension. Top notch stuff. — 3 months ago

Domaine Virginie Thunevin

Grand Vin de Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend

2018 vintage. 100% Merlot from this estate in Lalande de Fronsac, named after Valandraud owner Jean-Luc Thunevin's daughter. Another sexy Bordeaux value. Good concentration, ripe fruit, ripe tannin and good acidity. A little alcohol heat in the finish prevents it from a higher score, but very good value at less than 10 euros. — a month ago

Chateau Valandraud

Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

Delectable Wine

The 2005 Valandraud is off the charts. Easily one of the wines of the vintage, the 2005 Valandraud possesses tremendous richness from start to finish. Moreover, it has aged exquisitely. Inky red fruit, iron, smoke, dried herbs, menthol, licorice and blood orange infuse the 2005 with striking layers of nuance to play off all that unctuous fruit. This full-throttle Saint-Émilion is a prodigious effort from Jean-Luc Thunevin and Murielle Andraud. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, April 2021)

Terrasses Côte-Rotie Syrah 2013

I’m having a hard time evaluating this wine as it was closed upon opening. An hour splash decant filled the room with violet, pepper, iron and earth, but the palate was muted. The next day showed more, but didn’t feel like the wine was ready to reveal its secrets. All the elements of good quality Cote Rotie are present, and perhaps with a little more time, will blossom. — a month ago
