Tasmania Pinot Noir 2010

See a couple of previous notes for this superb Pinot Noir. This is my last of the 2010s. Mid to dark Ruby / quite dark for a Pinot. Aromas of dried cherry coming through on to a luscious delicious palate of great intensity and length. As my previous notes will say this has always been one of Australia’s better Pinots long before Tasmanian Pinots became so well known. — 2 months ago

Incredibly delicious wine - one of the best I’ve had in a while. Definitely one to purchase again (and again) — 3 years ago

Kelvedon Estate

Pinot Noir 2012

The 2nd of 2 Tasmanian Pinot Noirs. Dense Ruby in colour - much darker than the Tolpuddle. Rich aromatics of smoky oak and black fruits - Cherry and Plum which carry through to the full bodied palate. Generous flavours. Finishes dry. Incredibly youthful for 8 years of age. One of the bigger bodied Pinots I’ve had for a while. — 2 months ago

Rêveur Pinot Noir 2015

Mid Ruby in colour. Initial aromas of red and black fruits particularly raspberry and also whole bunch notes. Rich and sweet on the palate with plums and cherries finishing with smooth tannins. Fruit for this Pinot was sourced from the Coal Valley, East Coast and Channel sub-regions of Tasmania - the latter adding that richness like you see in Home Hill Estate. — 5 months ago

Avance Tasmania Pinot Noir 2013

One wouldn’t think of Australia when looking for a fine Pinot noir. One also wouldn’t think it comes from one of the coldest environments for Pinot noir but Tasmania is far south off the coast of Australia. This tastes like it could come from New Zealand. Very distinct and very fine. — 2 years ago
