2019 vintage. Last tasted 4.6.22. Medium-medium/heavy body. It’s got the garrigue stink (Mediterranean herbs/native scrub flora…similar to the Southern California herbs/native scrub & chaparral) and smoky nose. Prominent lavender, fudgie flavors thin out slightly on the finish. Definitely brooding. Hide a bottle or two away for future considerations but it’s firing now. Not a lot of Vacqueyras juice escapes from France (not a lot made) since it’s a relatively smallish, SoRhô (Southern Rhône) area. Generally, fantastic value play on resto lists or in the retail world. This one is no exception. 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 10% Cinsault/Mouvèdre mystery combo. Vines are 35-40 years old. If you encounter this out in the wild, throw a net over it and wrangle it back to camp. — 2 months ago

Alright alright alright…back out with Rib at or favorite spot. Trying out a new red, and on first blush it’s a winner. Soft subtle aromas of Napa, with just as soft velvety smooth onset. As the old heartthrob for every black woman (Billy D) would say…”Don’t let the smooth taste fool you”. Best way to describe it in the dewars words…Lucious like my wifeys lips. — a month ago

This is a delicious Cabernet Franc from Napa Valley.
Full bodied with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate and very fruity with blackberries, black plums, cooked cherries, figs, cedar, vanilla, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, light earth and black pepper.
Spicy long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
Still young and would be better in 5 years.
Rich and extracted. Elegant and fruit forward. Tangy and interesting.
14.2% alcohol by volume.

Good, tastes like a raspberry tootsie pop, so has a sweet candy flavor. Still light though. — 9 days ago
