Cuvée Frédéric Emile 375eme Anniversaire Alsace Riesling 2001

comparing the regular 01 to the 375eme anniversary 01 from some special plots. Pretty damn close. Maybe a little more density and lift to 375 but, as they age, they move closer. Lots of life left. — a month ago

Tradition Alsace AOC Pinot Noir 2015

Earthy, green, raspberry, stemmy spice, clove, slight menthol/fresh leaves, tea, a little medicinal note, light bodied, mouthwatering acidity and a long fresh finish. I’m a fan. Absolutely killing it with bbq’d pork loin and chicken 😋 — 2 months ago

Wow, did you get addicted to wine by Pineau d’Aunis? That’s special.

@Peter van den Besselaar in many ways, yes. Perhaps ten years ago at Terroir in San Francisco I could not believe a wine could do that. The pyrazines opened doors for me to cab franc, Jura, Beaujolais, and ultimately natural wines and truth in expression.

Herbal honeydew, jasmine tea, the acidity grips your taste buds and won't let go. Good length, a beautiful Loire sauv Blanc! — a year ago
