Pretty nice. Little bit boring — 21 days ago

Been awhile since I have had this…a good revisit. I’m sure my historical notes on this still stand.
My cherry tomatoes are in full streaming mode. So good. Especially, with burrata.
Try this with your garden cherry tomatoes or ones from the farmers market. Slice in halves, drizzle nicely but not over w/ olive oil, squeeze some fresh lemon, add Maldon salt to taste and fresh basil strips. Mix & let stand 10-15 before enjoying. It is the most authentic presentation of Italian cuisine I have known outside Italy. — 2 months ago
Intense savoury cherry. See previous Delectable note. Vacqueyras - 2nd only to Gigondas for Côtes du Rhône villages. This wine was 70% Grenache (over 60 years old), 15% Syrah (40 years old) and 15% Mourvèdre (40 years old). Tends to be slightly more rustic than Gigondas although this was very satisfying and good QPR. Alcohol a bit high at 14.5%. — a month ago
Opaque red blue. Vegetal and floral aromas with muddled blueberry. Medium plus bodied, medium plus alcohol. Blueberry emerges more prominently on the palate. Unbelievably smooth, round and well integrated. So complete. Tannins are perfect here, just enough to cut the beef tallow and provide an enjoyable finish. I can only imagine this will get even better, but why wait. This is near the top of my historical scale.
