Nose is lively, with equal parts fruit and cracked stone. The fruits are bright and ripe and tangy. Also a bit of spice. In the mouth, the zingy and assertive fruit is still there, but it’s in a surprisingly structured package. Bone dry, good acids, even some chalky tannins in the back half of the palate. Atypically for a Saint Amour, it seems like it could improve for another couple of years.

White flower aromas lead with notes of honey and toasted almonds. Hint of baking spices. Ripe Peach, melon and lemon fruit dominate the pallet with a hint of pie dough and those baking spices. Nice long finish and creamy texture. Really developing well with a bit of age. Appreciate you sharing this one, Ron B! — 4 days ago
Medium to dark Ruby in colour. Red and black fruits, cassis, some sweatiness on the nose, cedar, sage and a touch of pipe tobacco. Terrific fruit considering that 2007 was a lesser vintage ie. 6/10. 64% Cabernet, 30% Merlot (quite high for the left bank), 5% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot. In summary a good 2nd Growth for the vintage. One of the 1001 wines. — 4 days ago
Le style de la maison est là avec cette minéralité et pierre à fusils, du fruit blanc aussi, intense en bouche mais avec de la finesse, une belle longueur, très très belle réussite. 92-93
Very PYCM in style, gun powder, minerality, salinity, gorgeous white fruit also, intense and with a nice rich texture but the acidity balances it out, very very good. — 11 days ago
Wow what an amazing buy. Complex nose, classic but complex. Right bank stunner. Cedar, truffle, cassis, olive tapenade , slate, salt, with even an iron complement. Quite structured with amazing tannins still rounding out the fruit. Dark berries, blueberries , ripe blackberries, great tannins to give this wine the structure it needs to keep on aging. Great now, would love to try again in another 5 years. 14.5% — 10 days ago

Such a wonderful wine! Could rival various CdPs and remains elegant in its expression. Great QPR — 9 days ago
