At nearly 7 years old, the 2015 Pascal Jolivet Sancerre pours a golden color. On the nose, notes of bruised apple, ripened pear, honey and pineapple upside down cake. On the palate, bruised red apple, Bartlett pear, honey and clove. Decent acid. Long finish. I don’t usually age Sancerre…but I dig the expression that some age has brought. I paired very well with chicken fried rice. Drink now…unless you want to see how far it goes, you know, for science. — 19 days ago

Aromas and flavors of juicy red berry fruit. Hint of black pepper on the nice even keeled finish. Soft tannins and high acidity levels. Not as earthy as a typical Beaujolais wine and it shows a deeper garnet color and more heft as well. Great food wine. Pleasant surprise. Appreciate you opening this bottle, Ron B! — 3 days ago

Straw gold color. Nice weight. Notes of citrus and pit fruit, honeysuckle and some kiwi. Rich and round in the mouth. Coats the palate. Still youthful. Very nice. — 24 days ago
