Moutard Pere et Fils

Cuvée des 6 Cépages Brut Champagne Blend Rosé 2010

The dried fruits rule this one. Lemon, mango and pineapple, strawberry, orange, cherry, Tart strawberry on the palate is quickly overwhelmed by yeasty cherry in this complex stunner. Cherry scones, cranberries, rhubarb-strawberry pie gets a wave of cherry-lime that lingers forever. Juicy and lovely. Amazing really in its range of fruits. #moutard #moutardcuveedes6cepages #vintagechampagne #champagne #rosé #roséchampagne #rosévintage #champagnemoutard #brutrosé #2010vintage #vintagechampagne #champagnemoutardpereetfils — 7 months ago

Brut Nature Champagne Pinot Blanc

(Opened 24hrs) first night quite dry/austere and closed. Acids dominante palate. Day 2: blossoms into ginger, wet gravel/river stones, bitter lemon. Really quite lovely.

Family Tree Cabernet Merlot Blend

Nice for VQA, but not sure it would be a staple at $19. Will try again and be more diligent about comparing to imports. — 6 months ago

Vinyes Binitord

Menorca Blanc Chardonnay Blend 2015

First wine from Menorca drinking on Menorcan soil. Chardonnay blend with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malvasia, Moscatell and Macabeu. With the heat here - currently 28 degrees at 10:30am - I assume they need to be very diligent at picking at the right time, ensuring the grapes don’t become full and fat and overly sweet. Surprised this was relatively dry with a tart finish. Medium bodied, good acid, and a fragrant nose of orange peel and melon. A perfect pairing with the lobster stew. — a year ago
