La Ferme des Sept Lunes Syrah 2019

We’ve had serious bottle variation with this producer but decided to take a chance. Fresh & juicy, beautiful fruit, tad reductive, big acidity, lovely with homemade pork rillettes. — 8 days ago

Saint-Joseph Blanc Souvenirs d'André 2017

Wow. Amazing.

Nose is honey made from apricot flowers. Stunning. So floral. Amazing. Really gods apricot flower perfume with like this aeration of honey.

Palate is apricot Nectar. Gorgeous silky texture. So well balanced.

Wow. This is like condrieu. If condrieu didn’t fucking suck and wasn’t Oaked up the ass.

Bought from fass selections.

Côtes du Jura Poulsard Blend 2018

I should have read the back of the bottle before I started drinking this—which recommended opening at least 3-4 hours before consuming. Last glass was the most complete but this wine is still very young and green. Would love to try again in ten years time. Potential is there! — 8 days ago

Saint-Joseph Syrah 2018

An absolutely wonderful St Joseph. Decanted 8+ hours which I’d recommend at this point. Very glad I have some more in storage to try in a few years. Inky dark, excellent dark fruit with some great olive / earth / pepper notes, great mouth feel, nice long finish, all comes together very well. Delicious. — 11 days ago

Domaine Jean-Louis Chave

L'Hermitage Syrah 2011

I will start by say this is my favorite wine. Having 5 different vintages including the stellar 1990 This is no exception. 98+pts on this beautiful wine. Fragrant nose of fruits with some Brie cheese. Deep rich black fruit gives way to black pepper and earthy tones(mushrooms and some olive). Still with medium acidity and long finish. Close to perfection in a bottle — 5 days ago

Côte du Py Morgon Gamay 2019

Part 2 of Columbia County wknd: closed Beaujo, quite refined but this needs a good decant or some time. Black cherries, a plum- ier note. Rather compact body & closed on the nose. Still, nicely accompanied Grilled steelhead trout on cedar planks. I suspect this is one Morgon that needs nurturing. Never had this producer before, to the amazement of the wine store guy. — 11 days ago

Bonnie Jean Vineyard Pinot Noir 2017

Color of different shades of purple, with blue and gray tone on the rim. Quite dark considering she is a Pinot Noir. Nose of nice dried strawberry, fragrant aldehyde, prune, a bit tobacco leaves. The nose keep coming. Taste follows the nose with addition of ample acidity and refined sweetness, dark fruits like cherry and plums, a tiny bit black pepper, ripe grapes, a bit oak, and refreshing zest. Aftertaste is long and clean. Packed with flavors. — 24 days ago
