Pop and pour. One btl remaining. This tasted over the hill at first: no nose, tired palate. I didn't pour it down the drain and my father-in-law insisted on tasting it. He said: it isn't flawed, which is true, but it also seemed well past prime at the time.
Nevertheless, after 3 hrs: nose of soft plum, gamebird and cocoa, and the softest touch of VA. On the palate, slightly less compelling, hi-toned black and red fruit with some green notes and a tangy, bright finish. Conclusion: seems solid to good with a fair amount of air! — 15 hours ago
Low acid and dryness. Bourgogne warm leather and following though with tannic overabundance. Out with Angel — 4 years ago
This completely over delivers. Would have guessed a Faiveley Mercurey Blanc blind. The nose shows apple, tons of stony minerals, salt air and jasmine. The palate is lit up with perfect acidity; carrying all those same flavors along with some crushed rocks, tangerine, and fresh made caramel. 2014 is the best vintage of this yet. I want to lay it down a few years, but can’t resist drinking it now. — 4 years ago
