Minimal experience with DP rose. This was all about Pinot. Strawberry, cherry and roses on the nose and palate. Poweful acidity runs thru this from start to finish. What fascinated me the most was I found the mid-palate constrained but some how the fruit explodes like a second stage booster rocket and provided me one of the best finishes I have experienced . — 9 hours ago
Exceptional. Deep and complex with unmistaken aromas of aged champagne. Lovely. — 7 days ago
Celebrating tonight with this beautiful bottle of champagne - the first time I’ve ever bought myself champagne! Are they all like this? :) Beautiful golden hue, fine velvety bubbles, with a lovely richness and weight. An engaging depth of aromas and flavours including baked apples, lemon, fresh bread, almonds, with some minerality, salinity, smoke and spice. — 14 days ago
Nutty biscuits & a touch of marzipan with a fresh note of grated lemon peel. Ripe green apples underneath. And a whiff of verbena.
On the palate this is surprisingly (for a BdB) focused & precise. Fresh acidity, nice froth, a tart mouthfeel (slight tannins?). with fresh lemons & crunchy tart apples + a hint of a brioche note. Good length & persistent tiny bubbles.
Low dosage, too low perhaps?
A great food wine. — 16 days ago
These Hebrart champagnes are criminally underrated. Light gold with a nice burst of tiny bubbles. Creamy and effervescent. The nose is evocative and immediately appealing. Chamomile and chalk. Deep summer fruits and apples along with peaches and cream. Toasted bread and almonds after some time in the glass.
Honestly all of these releases from Champagne Hebrart are spectacular. From Premier Cru plots in the Vallee de la Marne. 80/20 PN/CH and disgorged in may of 2020 with a dosage of 8 g/l. Pleasant acidity and silky smooth. There’s an underlying elegance with the entire range of champagnes and this is no exception.
Graceful and lithe on the tongue, there’s plenty to love here. Generous orchard fruit and a dab of honey. More than a hint of spice here along with more chalk and salinity. Lemon curd and apricots accompany the medium long finish. Magnificent wine from one of my favorite producers. — 9 days ago
