Gorgeous nose of wet stones, wet earth, wild mint and more. A scene in nature type of nose. Stunning. 9.7 nose. Palate is killer but also needs some air as it’s juicy but also angular and backwards. But as it airs it gains a sweet lemon/lime intensity and that classic Defaix oily texture. Piercingly mineral finish. Air will make my score rise I surmise. — 13 days ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of 90 minutes. The 2023 pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with powerful notes of tart and ripe, citrus and tropical, fruit: grapefruit, passionfruit, white and yellow flowers, alfalfa, jalapeño pepper, and flinty minerals . On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Drink now. — 6 months ago
