GSM with cinsault and and counoise- so gorgeous and perfect — 4 years ago
Blackrock Vineyard, Yakima Valley. 47% Grenache, 27% Counoise, 26% Cinsault. Extremely pale pink in color. Strawberry, strawberry jam, raspberry and briar notes in nose. Same berries and berry jam in mouth, cherry water and later cherry fruit learher finish. Rounded mouthfeel, slight astringency on front of tongue. A lovely aperitif but perhaps not enough acidity for some foods. — 5 years ago
Today, every producer has a rosé wine in their line-up; rosé is in such a “fad mode” that it is actually getting more complicated to find a decent rose than a decent white. Nowadays, looking North of twenty-five bucks is a good start. Anyhow; this is dry, peachy, strawberry-ish, clean, bright, balanced with medium intensity on the pallet. Overall , one of the best rosés I’ve tasted this year; for a little more than your average tainted rosé, I must say. — 11 days ago
2011 Vintage. 15.4% Alcohol. 38% Syrah, 24% Grenache, 21% Mourvèdre, 10% Tempranillo, and 7% Counoise. 56% from Paderewski Vineyard and 44% from Catapult Vineyard. Blackberry jam nose and fruit profile that did better with 2+ hours in the Magnum decanter while watching NYE programs including “I’ll have what she’s having”. — 4 years ago
Salame, salty, spiced plums, peppercorns; somewhat short on the finish, but a very enjoyable wine nonetheless. Syrah, Grenache, Counoise and Mataro. — 5 years ago
Charles is in charge of my taste buds! Seriously though, Scott Baio is just terrible now. But this wine isn’t. Great taste for the price point! — 7 months ago

10 years old…lighter in color, texture, tannin, the Tablas CdP influenced blend is in a very good point of it’s development. A touch of browning, the sweet viscus weight of this Paso blend has morphed into something thinner, more complex, more balanced., more nuanced, more interesting. Worked well with simple summer take-out pizza. I love Tablas… their entire program just keeps illustrating how to keep new world conditions and old world farming principles together. Kudos, to all the folks at Tablas and Beaucastle. — 3 days ago
