My father has a case of these 1983 BV in his father’s wine collection. Have sat undisturbed for a few decades since my grandfather passed. Opened this for Easter dinner if braised lamb shanks. Had some cork breakage but decanted and let it breathe… it was quite delicious! Looking forward to drinking the rest of his collection! — 2 months ago
Oh my, what a gem. From the moment I opened it I knew I was in for something special. Wonderful nose that brought a big smile to my face. First taste was a bit tough due to tannin overload. I figured a few hours would do it. Yep after decanting and two hours of waiting dinner was ready and I poured some. Huge flavorful wine. Rutherford dust was the first thing I noticed. It got better from there. I have one bottle left, now just on a mission to find more. — 9 days ago
Excellent structure and delicate dark fruits like plum, black cherry, and licorice. Well balanced with full body.
Try to find the 2016 vintage. — a month ago
I’m usually not a white wine drinker, but this one is complex enough to hold my attention! Nice notes of honeysuckle without being sweet, and a bit of minerality to add a depth to the flavor profile. This will be a staple white for me for sure. — 11 days ago

Sipping Fine Wine
Blend of 94% Cabernet Sauvignon & 6% Petit Verdot, BV grapes were first planted back in 1900, by founder Georges de Latour. Outstanding! Deep dense Ruby with complex berry fruit aromas wrapped in toasty spice. On the palate flavors of blackberry, cherry and sweet plum with licorice and cacao, adding cedar and tobacco notes. Soft velvet tannins, still young, long finish, well integrated and nicely balanced, a joy to drink. Will age a long time. A Wow factor wine!! — 10 days ago
