It is Saturday night and I have opened the Maurice Bonnamy Crémant de Loire Rosé Brut. A blend of 100% Cabernet Franc grapes from south of Saumur.
On the nose there I find strawberry, raspberry, tart cherry, minerality and some yeasty qualities.
On the palate there are notes of strawberry, raspberry, tart cherry, bell pepper, yeast and food minerals.
This sparkling wine has a beautiful salmon pink color with a constant fine bead that is medium bodied with high acidity and a long fresh, crisp, clean finish. Continued good health and stay safe. Nostrovia! 🥂🥂🥂🥂 — 10 days ago
This is a nice and light Cabernet Franc from Virginia. Showing red and blue fruits with earth, honeysuckle, chocolates, oak, vegetables and spices.
Light ruby in color with medium intensity.
Very pretty nose, sweet and flowery.
Medium bodied with medium acidity.
Good right out of the bottle., light and airy. Would be nice to revisit it in a couple of years.
A good food wine that I paired with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses olive crackers.
12% alcohol by volume.

Ripe red fruit nose of raspberry, cranberry, and tart cherry with classic cab frank green bell pepper notes. Grippy tart red fruit on the palate with cinnamon and cedar. Medium alcohol, medium tannins, and high acid, with the bell pepper lingering in the finish. Tart and rustic, bring on the croque monsieur. — 2 hours ago
Deep blue and black fruits, and mocha spice define this full-bodied and concentrated wine. Dried fruit and Asian spice character with some full body, round and velvety tannins and a flavorful finish. This is an age worthy wine with many years in front of it. — 4 hours ago
Classic Chinon nose. Wet leaves, earth, herbaciousness, leather, feral, hay, olives as the name implies, cassis, mint and tree bark. So complex. Aged. Classic classic stuff. Palate is silky and sweet with incredible freshness and acidity. Elegant and tart with a red currant like sweetness. A barely type of red fruited sweetness. Very elegant and refined Olive. Juicy and bright. Tastes younger than its age. Wonderful. — 16 days ago
Super aromas. Mesmerizing. Herbal, cassis, light cherry, mineral and so so lifting. Super complex and so transparent. Sweet fruit on the palate, so nimble, elegant and mineral. This just floats and has a Burgundian sensibility. So balanced and wowza pure. Ripe and super elegant tannins. Superb. Has more to say. — 7 days ago
This Cabernet Franc, made with grapes from Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, is one of the best that Argentina has to offer. Aged for 18 months in French barrels, half of them new, it is garnet in hue. The nose delivers intense aromas with inviting, well-defined notes of roasted red pepper, black currant, sour cherry and pepper. The wood comes out in the mouth, where it brings softness, volume, muscle and outline. This is pure but elegantly packaged power with a sustained, flavorful finish.
