N: Lemons, ginger, banana peel, very fresh, like a just passed thunderstorms sun. You can smell the oak, but it’s￼ like a ghost in the background.
P:Lemon custard, ever so light, creamy,tart, long finish, slight wood. He was really talented.

If served this “ blind”, very few would peg it as a Cali Chard. A stylistic response to criticism of previous, over the top Chards.

Color is a bright light gold. Apple, grapefruit & lemon on the nose with subtle aromas of pineapple and vanilla. Taste is juicy, luscious and creamy on the palate giving the wine a beautifully balanced acidity. Lemon and pineapple fruits give it a worthy initial taste with notes of tangerine, florals and a stone-pear finish. A treat and celebration moving into our new home. — a day ago

Hits all the Pinot Noir marks! Maybe 10 years aged helped too. Rich smooth well balanced flavor pallet with light elegant grape/fruit spice and tart notes, enough tannin end to be real and even reinforce the flavors, and a pleasant earthy aroma when you first lift the glass. I’ll look for more but I doubt that I can wait as long. — 2 days ago
Star bright straw gold. Quince, orange zest, and white pepper on the inviting nose and medium palate which adds a bit of birch(!) on the finish. Extra time on the lees shows itself in texture and body that many California unoaked Chardonnays lack. Not Burgundian by any stretch, but it can go anywhere a lower-end Maconnais can with aplomb.
