Alban is name of first child. what a nose, gamey, stoney, granite, loess, amazing nose. so so sick. red fruits. raspberry coulis. olives, leather, some funk, some barnyard, some horse. wow this nose. wow, so silky, so elegant, big and refined, but juicy and so so elegant. Amazing purity. So open and wide. Coulis. red fruit, so fine, so much velvety tannins, sleek and refined. polished classicism. precise dense deep and lots of material. Drinking so well now. — 8 months ago

Deep ruby color; cherries, smoke, and raspberries on the nose; medium acidity; medium minus tannins; tastes like pomegranate, crushed gravel, and cherries with a hint of citrus (maybe grapefruit) with a long finish. Nellie said it's ok. Its not my favorite style, but it's a good wine. I think it will pair well with arroz con pollo. — 7 months ago
I’m not sure where my previous note went.
Just when you thought you knew Italy, up pops this might as well be SwissFrench alpine darling from the Vallée D’Aoste.
Blanc de Morgex et de la salle. The town/village of Morgex lies just below Mt. Blanc. The Prié Blanc vines thrive in soil that has not known phylloxera.
Stones, herbs, and lemons all wrapped up in a rather electric pkg. I think drink young. Cold, the nose doesn’t have much to say past stone fruit, maybe rainier cherries.,But the palate is pow! Lemons, herbs, mineral, high acid and refreshing. With fried Branzino, perfect!
Always a sucker for high altitude Italian.
